The Clinton Spring Fair is celebrating 165 years of the fair and is looking for students to compete in the Ambassador Competition. The Ambassador is responsible for representing the Huron Central Agriculture Society over the course of the fair weekend and a few other events throughout the year. It is a great program that teaches students how to present themselves and is very helpful for those enrolled in post secondary studies. It looks very good on resumes and allows students to further develop public speaking and interview skills. The competition will be held on Friday, May 24th and the deadline for applications is Thursday, May 13th. For more information students can visit www.clintonspringfair.com or contact Kerry Parker (the current Clinton Spring Fair Ambassador) at 519-440-2176.
There is an opportunity to earn volunteer hours with the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority. They will be removing invasive plants from the Clinton Conservation Area (known as the Lion’s Park) on Saturday May 25th from 10 am to noon. See Mrs. Ross Holton for more information or if interested in this opportunity.
